Becoming an Initiate

Becoming an Initiate White Tigress or White Tiger means primarily to become a teacher and to start your own lineage. There are four ways (called the Four Gates) by which a female becomes an Initiated White Tigress and just one way for a male to become an Initiated White Tiger.

Females

  • The first gate is called a Suckling Tigress. She devotes six months for daily training in all aspects of the teachings and practices. After the six months she goes through an Initiation Ceremony and then goes off to practice and begin forming her own lineage.

  • The second gate is called a Wandering Tigress. She practices on her own and pays as she goes in regards to training. Basically learning one or two subjects as she can afford. When she is done with her training she is then initiated as a White Tigress.

  • The third gated is called a Denned Tigress. This is a married woman or a woman with a man who is her Jade Dragon. They either take the courses over time or she enrolls as a Suckling Tigress and he takes all his courses simultaneously.

  • The fourth gate is called a Leashed Tigress. Since this type of Tigress can only be accepted and trained under the auspices of an Initiated White Tigress or White Tiger there are no fees attached to this training. Leashed Tigresses practice their whole life with one teacher in a sexually submissive role and never form a new lineage.

There will also be a required study course on White Tigress philosophy and an examination. This study course includes all aspects of the teachings for both males and females. Within this study course various Taoist chants and procedures for initiation will be explained.

Males

The courses that need to be completed by the male before being accepted as an Initiated White Tiger are:

After the initiation ceremony is complete aspects of how to continue practice for the next nine years are explained.

Initiation Ceremony

Although the particulars of this ceremony cannot be explained here, it is actually a ceremony for becoming a Taoist priest or priestess. Robes and hat are presented during the ceremony, spiritual practice names are given, records are signed, and certain long held traditions and deportments are maintained. After the initiation ceremony is completed aspects of how to continue practice for the next nine years are explained.
